Dot to Dot Activity: Masjid

My son loves very very much to solve dot to dot activities. So I had to make one Islamic dot to dot worksheet for him :) It's from 1 to 90. I hope you and your child enjoy it too.

The picture is from a printable of sister Umm An-Nu'man from this lapbook.

Book: The Five Pillars of İslam

English version of the book I made for my son. It's about "The Five Pillars of Islam". Here is the front page.

An introduction page with dua' from Surah Ibrahim and a house reminding the hadeeth:
“Islam has been built upon five things – on testifying that there is no god save Allah, and that Muhammad is His Messenger; on performing salah; on giving the zakah; on Hajj to the House; and on fasting during Ramadhan.”

One is Shahada. "What is its meaning?" and "What happens when we say shahada?"

Two is Salah. Five daily prayers with pictures... (Pictures from Talibiddeenjr but I changed a bit.)

Three is Sawm. A fast day with pictures...

Four is Zakat. Its percentage, it does not decrease but increases our money, and it cleans our possessions.

Five is Hajj. Hajj makes everyone equal, it's in Dhil Hijjah...

Let's Repeat the five pillars of Islam and Let's Answer the questions about them.

Last page. Here is the lyrics of the nasheed "Buniyal Islamu 'ala Khamsin"
I hope you enjoyed it.

As soon as possible I will put its printable version insha Allah.
Edit: Here is the link you can download the file. I hope it is beneficial.

Wudu' Cards

For preschool age;

You can play with these cards using pictured sides. You may want him/her to put the cards in the right order. In Turkey we have song for it. If I try to translate, it’s something like that: Of course the ryhme is gone :)

Hands, mouth, nose, face

Arms, head and ears

After doing masah of neck

Feet must be washed

For older children;

You may want her/him to memorize wudu’ duas (Arabic or their meanings in English). You can show him/her a picture and want him to read the dua about it.

Lapbook: Ramadan

Here is my first lapbook. It's about Ramadan and fasting.

Cover...

Inside...

Details:
A fasting day cycle. (This idea is from here)

Inside the cycle. What should be done during fasting.

A short story book about first revelation.

Here is cover of the book.

The book is an "accordion book". It's very easy to make. You cand find here how to make it and different types of books.

Dua' cards.

Each day of Ramadan we pick one and read insha Allah.

A short article about Ramadan. (What is Ramadan? What did Muhammed (pbuh) used to do during Ramadan? etc. )

Hijri calendar. Rajab, Sha'ban and Ramadan are in different colour and Ramadan has lots of stars.

Religious riddle cards.

One of them is something like that:

An apple felt from the sky
It was divided into twelve
They ate eleven of them
"No", they said, for one .
The answer is Ramadan :)

Ramadan days trefoil. Its beginning is mercy, its midlle is forgiveness, its ending is liberation.

Ibadah chart. When my son;
prays with us we put a star on the prayer rug,
reads or tries to memorise Surah Al-Qadr that we intented to memorize during Ramadan, we put a star on the book,
tries to fast for 15 minutes or 30 minutes or 1 hour, we put a star on the plate,
puts coins into our sadaqa box, we put a star on the moneybox.
At the end of Ramadan, we will reward him insha Allah. We give small daily gifts too.

Moon cycle...

Hijri calendar is about moon phases, so it is very good idea to put it in a Ramadan lapbook. (This idea is from here.)

A puzzle...

The puzzle is made from this picture. The child is waiting for iftar...

It has 1oo pieces.

It is a bit hard to solve.

Ramadan dictionary cards....

What is the meaning of Ramadan, Sawm, Suhoor, Laylatu Al-Qadr, Taraveeh, Sadaqa Al-Fitr etc..
